Making Dreams come true at National Express!

Richard has always had a great interest in the National Express, in his spare time he likes to go on trips all over the city and loves spending time on the buses.

His lecturer at Lomond House saw this passion and approached National Express to see if there was any chance he would be able to take part in some work experience.

Richard was n luck! For the past few weeks he has been working one day a week at the depot in Victoria. His roles and responsibilities there have involved; helping to keep the buses clean and restocked and ultimately ensuring that each bus is ready for it’s next journey.

This is a dream job for Richard, and after all those years of visiting the bus station once a week to check out the latest buses, now he gets to work and help with something he is so passionate about.

His hard work, dedication has paid off as National Express have offered him to stay on after college to help them out, something he is incredibly excited about.

His Mum said “I am so proud of Richard, I can see how happy this placement has made him. I am also extremely excited for him to have something he can focus on after college finishes.”

Well done Richard!

Outcomes for learners are outstanding, teaching, learning and assessment are excellent and the extremely diverse programmes that meet learners’ individual needs, interests and aspirations, prepare them very well for life after College.
