OHC&AT provides a stimulating yet safe learning environment enabling each pupil/student to achieve to their maximum potential whilst managing their specialist and complex physical, health and learning needs.

We are looking to recruit an inspiring Teacher of Science at The Link Secondary School. The Link caters for pupils with speech, language and communication difficulties, many of whom are on the autistic spectrum. Abilities are wide ranging, varying from pupils who meet cognitive milestones to pupils with complex needs. A belief in person centred teaching is a priority.

The post holder will have a key role for developing the skills of our pupils within the subject area of Science, working alongside our therapists and multi-disciplinary teams within school to meet these needs. We offer a supportive learning environment for all and a cohesive team ethos.

Appropriate training packages will be available that support routes into qualified teacher status and it is the expectation that unqualified teachers undertake all reasonable endeavours to achieve qualified status within three years.
