Down Syndrome Awareness Day

To help raise awareness for World Down’s syndrome day, students and staff at Wyvern House, Hillingdon all came in with their odd socks (and plenty of spare odd socks so everyone could join in the fun!)

Odd socks were chosen as a symbol for World Down Syndrome Day because chromosomes are shaped like socks, and those with Down Syndrome have an extra one. For more information, please visit this website: https://worlddownsyndromeday.org/

Outcomes for learners are outstanding, teaching, learning and assessment are excellent and the extremely diverse programmes that meet learners’ individual needs, interests and aspirations, prepare them very well for life after College.
