Into Work - Work Experience

Age Range: 19-25

Course Dates: September 2018 to July 2019 The course takes place during term time over 36 weeks of the year

Session Times: 2 days per week (1 day in College 9.30am-3.00pm plus 1 day at work experience)

Hours per week: 11 hours per week (dependant on the work placement)

Number of students in each class: 8-12 students

Accreditation: E3/L1 - Award in Personal Development or Skills for Employment

About the Course

Entry Criteria:

Students wishing to enrol on this course must have successfully completed the Into Work Enterprise course and/or be able to demonstrate that they are working at E2-E3 level. In addition, the successful completion of a work placement in a previous school or college.


Skills related to work are taught within the course-these include: following instructions, Health & Safety, dressing appropriately, knowing how to communicate with a safe person, and making choices. English and maths are also embedded within the course content.

On Programme Support:

As well as the teaching team delivering the course, specialist job coaching support will be provided in the work placement.


Opportunities for supported employment, such as volunteering and enterprise schemes, work placement, enrolment on a Traineeship programme.
