What is it?

The Traineeship at Orchard Hill College is for students aged 19-24 who want to develop work-ready skills and gain accredited qualifications.

It's an opportunity learn in a practical way developing basic skills, transferable work skills and learn specific skills related to vocational areas by undertaking a work placement.

What qualifications do I need?

You don't need any previous qualifications to apply for a course, and you will have the opportunity to work towards these qualifications:

Maths and English Functional Skills, Entry level to Level 2

Personal development or employability qualification at Level 1

Trainees will usually attend College one day a week to gain qualifications in maths, English and Employability. Students will also attend a work placement two days a week. There are a variety of work placements available including retail, leisure, hospitals, nurseries and many more.
