About Wyvern House

Wyvern House is accommodates 30 pupils aged 16+. It has a large kitchen and open space. The Centre is near Uxbridge town centre.

Students and staff enjoy being part of the local community and students are supported in work opportunities with many local businesses and community groups including Uxbridge Library, RAGC, Rural Activity Garden Centre, Coach and Horse, Oxfam Uxbridge, Hillingdon Leisure Centre, Rickmansworth Golf Course and DASH Centres.

 

What’s happening at our Centre this term?

Students working towards preparing our new centre allotment

Students working with the Local Authority to ‘Adopt a tree’ scheme to care for their local community and parks

Parent and Carer coffee mornings

Transition events with parents and local partnerships

Students working with the local food bank to complete voluntary work placements and contribute to the community

Open Event for students to show off how amazing their centre is

“The Big Build” an initiative, led by OHC&AT’s Digital School, will see students collectively putting their coding and building skills into practice to create a super vehicle out of Lego that can be activated to travel and perform tricks via an iPad.

 

 

Events

Outcomes for learners are outstanding, teaching, learning and assessment are excellent and the extremely diverse programmes that meet learners’ individual needs, interests and aspirations, prepare them very well for life after College.
