As a school we recognise that it is important to support our students' mental health, therefore 15 of our staff are attending the Youth Mental Health First Aid course during the Easter holidays. This is an internationally recognised training course designed to teach people how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and provide help on a first-aid basis. Our staff will also be able to share the information and techniques they have learnt to promote mental and emotional wellbeing at Young People’s Academy.

Teela Prince, LSA: “I am looking forward to attending this training. It will help me understand our students' emotional wellbeing needs.”
