Buki from Lomond House has been enjoying a weekly trip to the local gym to develop her orientation and mobility skills. Buki has been taking great strides in her progress at the gym, exceeding her targets and now using six different exercise machines! Buki’s transitioning skills are continuing to progress which will benefit her when she leaves college. Her orientation and mobility skills are also progressing massively, not only through using the machines at the gym but she is now familiar with the whole journey to the gym!
Learning Support Assistant, Lucy, says “watching Buki’s progress is fantastic. She is continuing to progress throughout her time at college and the activities she takes part in. Seeing her so comfortable both walking to and at the gym was a brilliant example of the progress she is making. Great work, Buki!”
