This month, staff and students took some time to remember one of our year 11 students, Damien Brown, who sadly passed away last year. Everyone wrote a note which we tied to a balloon which we then released together.

Executive Headteacher Miss Cornwell, spoke about some of our great memories of Damien and acknowledged how much he has been missed.

Year 11 students also worked hard to secure a new bench, which is next to our basketball court, in memory of Damien. Together they wrote a message which has been engraved on a plaque:

In loving memory of Damien Brown 08.03.01 – 29.02.16
Now that you have gone to the skate park in the sky, ride free among the stars.
We will never forget you.
Miss you Damo

One student said β€œit was nice to take the time to think about Damien and listen to the nice things people said about him.”
