Buki at Lomond House had a great time visiting Stepping Stones to participate in a health and wellbeing session. Stepping Stones is a South London-based charity creating life enhancing, meaningful activities by working with, listening to, and learning with adults with learning disabilities in the local area.
They offer a range of classes and activities including drama, cooking, art, music, keep fit, gardening, dance and walking groups.
Visiting the group symbolises the progress Buki has made at College; her confidence has grown, particularly in working with new people in unfamiliar venues, and she taken strides in confidence using public transport to access the community scheme.
Buki had a fantastic time joining in with the session and engaging with the sensory items. Her LSA Rolda says “It is wonderful to see Buki enjoying herself like she was at Stepping Stones. She has developed many skills and watching her progress has been a real pleasure. Great work, Buki!
