Despite the typical British summer time bad weather, Dysart School was delighted to hold its Summer Fair on Saturday 25th June, an annual fundraiser organised by the Friends of Dysart Schools (FODS).
Pupils, parents, carers and staff all joined together to enjoy live music from Sam Cooper and his band, delicious food from the barbecue, a bouncy castle, cream tea, face painting and more! The fair was also an opportunity for our Post-16 Young Enterprise group, Dysart Designs, to sell some of their creations and gain some publicity.
We were delighted to welcome special guest, The Mayor of Kingston, Councillor Geoff Austin and his wife who got stuck in with activities and drew the raffle.
CEO and Principal of Orchard Hill College & Academy Trust, Dr Caroline Allen, joined the event, saying “this event was all about our pupils, families and communities sharing some time together in a fun atmosphere. Under the leadership of our Headteacher, Mrs Edser, the school continues to have an important role in our local community, which is very much in keeping with the ethos of our Trust. It was a fun day!”
