The tenth National Apprenticeship Week is nearing its end, so we'd like to share another story of one of Orchard Hill College's Apprentices. Here's what Finance Apprentice, Rory, says about his experience:

“I found out about the apprenticeship through Carshalton College, they provided me with a reference and then I secured an interview, following which I achieved a place with the College Finance team.

I hope to gain from this apprenticeship the necessary workplace skills, (both technical and social), and to further my career. Alongside the work experience I am gaining I hope to pass all the exams that are required to complete my AAT Level 3 course in Accounting.

I am finding the apprenticeship fun and enjoyable with there is a wide variety of jobs to do to, which ensures that I am always challenging my capabilities and my mind is constantly active!

At the end of the course I hope to possibly further my apprenticeship with Orchard Hill College and then move on to tackle AAT Level 4.”

Rory's accountancy career journey is off to a fantastic start and we are proud to be part of the Apprenticeship scheme, enabling him to gain vital workplace skills alongside his qualifications.
