Head of College Ashley Jordan Diaper and Head of Placements and Assessments Kathrine Everett have both been on the joint London Enterprise Panel, London Councils and Greater London Authority Senior Careers Advisory group who have been involved in informing the content of the report written by Dr Deirdre Hughes OBE, along with others from business, parents, students and universities. Kathrine E attended the launch on 25th June 2015 at City Hall

Boris Johnson was speaking at the launch and has supported the proposal which promotes 100 hours experience of the world of work for all young Londoners as well as other key careers elements including an explicit careers curriculum for each secondary school.

Yolande Burgess, Strategy Director at London Councils says “getting the London Ambitions Careers Offer right means delivering successful outcomes for all young Londoners. Colleagues from Orchard Hill College were instrumental in ensuring that the reports recommendations and the Careers Curriculum recognised that young people with special educational needs, as much as any other young Londoner, want to take full advantage of opportunities that will lead to successful working lives.”
