Students at Link Secondary School have had an amazing week, star of Britain’s Got Talent, Jonny Awsum made a special visit to their school and answered some tricky questions in a special assembly.

Jonny even taught them some tips about panto performances. John Reilly, Headteacher, commented that “ Jonny Awsum was a true gent on his visit to our school. We all really enjoyed the time he spent with us”

A few days later, the school went along to Waddon Leisure Centre to cheer on Jonny when he took to the stage as the Billy Trott in Croydon’s official Pantomime, “Jack and the Beanstalk”. He was equally as delighted with The Link saying “a brilliant school filled with great staff and pupils, proud to have been invited along to see the work they do”.

Students soon got into the swing of the festive fun, “Oh no they didn’t, Oh yes they did!” and before long some of them joined the performers on stage to sing songs and dance with the cast.

Just when they thought their outing couldn’t get any better, students were invited to meet the cast at the end of the pantomime! What a brilliant way to end the term.
