As part of the KS3 Curriculum, Year 8 and 9 students are given the opportunity to visit Halos Farm in Beaconsfield.

This is a therapeutic intervention with a unique approach, which allows young people to learn through sensory experience, communicating and connecting with horses, understanding and observing them living as a herd in a natural environment. This particular therapy is a programme used to promote emotional growth for the students at Young People’s Academy.

This programme is enjoyed thoroughly by the students and you can see what an impact the farm visits have.

A member of staff said “I really enjoy visiting the farm and seeing the calm, caring, affectionate side to the kids. It really is amazing watching them with the animals and what an affect it can have on them!”
