Students from VPC and BedZED are getting stuck right in, and are already “knee deep” in work placements at Sutton Community Farm. The community-owned farm’s goals are; to increase access to fresh, healthy, sustainable food and provide a shared space for people to cultivate skills, get exercise and make new friends.

Students Samuel and George are particularly enjoying their work placement and have found they can really engage in tasks around the farm. Tyler, another student has said: “I really like being a part of understanding how to grow fruit and vegetables!”

Head of learning centre Indy Sunner said: ' It is really important for our students to learn how to be a part of the community and make a contribution, but also make our students feel like they are a part of making a change. We would like to say a big thank you to Sutton Community Farm!”
