Last term the creative arts and performance unit from Fountains Mill Young People’s Centre (FMYPC) visited Young People’s Academy. FMYPC is based on Uxbridge High Street and offers a place to meet friends, chill out and learn new skills. The centre has a real focus on music and performance.

The team gave a performance on sexual consent and discussed their KISS (Keep It Safe ‘n’ Sorted) clinic, which is a confidential sexual health drop-in service for 13-19 year olds in Hillingdon.

Pupils Annie and Ellie who watched the play said ‘it was really good. I feel like I learnt a lot from watching, and it was important to see. Normally I get bored when I am sitting around for a long period of time but this was worth it. The actors really got into character”.
