Students in Key Stage 3 at YPA went to the Sea Life London Aquarium as part of a cross-curricular trip between English and Science.

Students had been learning about food chains and living things in different ecosystems and so were lucky enough to see this in real life through the different habitats displayed at the aquarium.

Students were able to see sharks of all shapes and sizes, they were able to explore rock pools and even touch some of the star fish! They saw crocodiles in the rainforest area and finally explored animals that live in our very own River Thames.

James said ‘I loved the sharks, and I would love to work at the aquarium in the future!’

Luke learnt all about starfish and told us ‘Starfish have the same cells as zebrafish and this means they can regenerate themselves.’

Everyone had a fantastic day and learnt so much about aquatic life.
