YPA was pleased to open its doors yesterday evening to welcome parents, carers and pupils to the first ‘Curriculum and curry night’.

Executive Head Teacher, Laurie Cornwell explains the evening as “an opportunity to provide our parents and carers with the information and resources to follow what their children are studying in their lessons, and to enjoy a nice chicken or vegetable korma!

Each subject provided a display and an information flyer about what the children are studying and what vocabulary and key words the children should be using. In order to provide parents and carers with an advantage over their children we have also included the definitions of the more technical words.

It is really important to us at YPA that parents and carers are made to feel just as welcome as our students, hence offering a curry whilst they are perusing their child’s curriculum. Parents also have the opportunity to request key texts and books their children are studying.”

The evening was a clear success that was as enjoyable as it was informative.
