Every Orchard Hill College Centre celebrated the festive season with a week of extravaganzas with the theme “What does Christmas mean to you?”. Each Centre interpreted the theme in their own way, and what a brilliant celebration it was.
Classrooms were transformed to reflect countries from around the world, exploring how they celebrate Christmas differently; trying food from Poland, listening to music from Mexico, wearing traditional dress from Nairobi, even exploring the Arctic!
Extravaganzas also gave students an opportunity to continue their enterprise projects they have been working on this term, selling hand made goods and delicious foods, and making more Avon sales.
Every room across each Centre was buzzing with festive cheer, and the creativity of our teams shone through as everywhere you looked there was a different activity or experience tailored to our range of students, from an immersive sensory reading of ‘A Christmas Carol’, to making Christmas decorations and of course, karaoke!
This was a brilliant end to the term and we wish all our students a lovely Christmas break.
