Luke, a student from Lomond House attended Beyond Words, a local provider of books and training for people who find pictures easier to understand than words. Luke loved this training so much that he went back to tell his class about it, and they all decided they would like to set up a Beyond Words Club for the wider community at Brixton library.

The club at Brixton library was a great success so the students are now meeting with the head librarians at Camberwell Green Library with a view to starting up a club there too. They are also heading back to Brixton to look at how they can set up a club for the disability community in Lambeth.

Luke said “it was great to meet all the staff at Brixton library, I really like Beyond Words and I think everyone should get a chance to see this!”
