One of our students from BedZED has been making strides at his work experience placement in one of the major Sainsbury’s stores. Initially, Amir was quite nervous in his role and would regularly seek assistance, however his confidence has grown and now he’s taking real ownership in what he is doing. Amir has been integrating with other staff members and showing greater independence which he can apply both in his work environment and in his community.
Amir is currently focussing on his communication and independence skills, so what he is achieving at his work placement is a fantastic leap forward to realising these personal goals.
