Learning Programmes – Opportunities in Adult life
Moving Forward Programmes
We provide a range of part time programmes for learners wanting to learn and develop the following skills:
- New opportunities and pathways
- Developing work related skills
- Developing skills for supported living and independence
- Accessing community living
- Improving communication and basic skills in the home and community
- Healthy and safe living
Progression
Learners can progress onto:
- Orchard Hill Moving On or New Opportunity programmes
- Supported Employment
- Adult Education courses offered in partnership with SCOLA
- Supported Living and/or housing
Moving On Programmes
We provide a range of programmes for learners wanting to continue their learning in the following areas:
- Skills for supported community living
- Skills for supported work related learning
- Extended learning opportunities include: sports, arts and crafts, drama (self funding only)
Progression
Learners can progress onto:
- Orchard Hill New Opportunity programmes
- Supported Employment
- Adult Education courses offered in partnership with SCOLA
- Supported Living and/or housing
New Opportunities
We work with learners to fulfill their aspirations. This is different for each learner, but may include one or more of the following examples:
- Supported employment
- Supported independent living
- Adult education courses
- FE College programme
- Further Orchard Hill College course opportunities
