Work related /based learning opportunities
“ I am making choices to help to go to work”
OHC offers learners a range of courses that help to explore and develop skills needed in the workplace. These programmes cover:
- Engagement with the workplace
- Developing work related skills
- Developing work based skills
- Taking part in volunteering schemes
- Taking part in internal work placement programmes
- Taking part in external work placement programmes
All work placements are based around real work situations with appropriate support given to each learner’s needs and abilities. For learners who can access external work placements, the College has well established links with a range of local employers within retail, horticulture, catering, leisure, office and administration.
Orchard Hill works with a range of specialist employability organisations to support our learners before, during and after college including MENCAP Pathway, Remploy and Surrey Employability.
